LBLT Day 4

Wednesday night is usually punctuated with the “top-up shop”, but not this week. Unsurprisingly, I’ve learned is that I eat way too much normally (who would have guessed…), and a “recommended” serving portion will fill me until the next meal – but the lack of exciting ingredients certainly makes the food bland.

One of the more difficult tests has been avoiding the multitude of sweet treats at work, and having not entered a shop/restaurant/cafe in the past few days has taken away 99% of the temptation to give in. It’s hideous really when you realise you can spend £7+ on a relatively small piece of steak, knowing that could potentially had fed me for a week.

Breakfast: Peanut butter on toast (14p)

  • 2 slices white bread (8p)
  • 1 tb peanut butter (6p)

Dinner: N/A. I felt bad for making some banana bread last night, and was unable to resist a slice that this morning (just couldn’t let those bananas go to waste!)

Tea: Marmite pasta (26p)

  • 100g spaghetti (13p)
  • 1ts Marmite (7p)
  • 1 ts rapeseed oil (4p)
  • 1tb breadcrumbs (2p)

Snacks: 2 cups of tea, milk (2x2p)

Thursday total: £0.44

End of day update: Hungry, but not as bad as I anticipated. Mid-day seems to be filled with headaches and feeling sluggish. Hanging in, and looking forward to spending the weekend at a wedding. Long since ran out of interesting things in the cupboard, so it’s white carbs after white carbs, but hey, I’m lucky to have anything at all in there right?
